BİTKİ PARAZİTİ NEMATODLAR İLE BİYOLOJİK MÜCADELEDE BACILLUS TÜRLERİ
Özet
Bitki paraziti nematodlar (PPN), dünya genelinde tarımsal üretimde önemli verim kayıplarına yol açan zararlılar arasında yer almaktadır. Kimyasal nematisitlerin çevresel riskleri ve direnç gelişimi gibi sorunları, sürdürülebilir ve çevre dostu alternatiflerin geliştirilmesini zorunlu kılmıştır. Bu bağlamda Bacillus türleri, biyolojik mücadelede en umut verici mikrobiyal ajanlar arasında öne çıkmaktadır. Bacillus türleri; gram pozitif, endospor oluşturan ve toprakta yaygın bulunan bakterilerdir. Bu bakteriler, nematodlara karşı çok yönlü etki mekanizmalarına sahiptir. Ürettikleri lipopeptitler, proteazlar, kitinazlar ve sideroforlar, nematod yumurta kabuklarını ve kütiküllerini parçalayarak, hücre zarlarını bozarak ve besin rekabeti oluşturarak doğrudan nematod ölümüne neden olmaktadır. Ayrıca birçok Bacillus türü, bitkilerde uyarılmış sistemik dayanıklılık (ISR) oluşturarak bitkinin savunma mekanizmalarını aktive etmekte ve nematod penetrasyonu ile çoğalmasını azaltmaktadır. Özellikle Bacillus thuringiensis, Cry ve Cyt toksinleri aracılığıyla nematodların bağırsak epitelinde gözenek oluşumuna neden olarak güçlü bir nematisit etki göstermektedir. Bacillus subtilis lipopeptit üretimi ve ISR’ın uyarılması ile öne çıkarken; Bacillus cereus metaloproteinazlar ve siderofor üretimiyle nematod baskılamasında etkilidir. Bacillus firmus, yumurta açılımını ve larva gelişimini baskılayan enzimleri sayesinde popülasyon kontrolünde önemli rol oynar. Ayrıca Bacillus megaterium, Bacillus pumilus, Bacillus licheniformis, Bacillus amyloliquefaciens ve Bacillus nematocida gibi türler de enzimatik bozunma, antimikrobiyal metabolit üretimi ve rizosfer kolonizasyonu yoluyla etkili sonuçlar göstermektedir. Bacillus türlerinin uygulama yöntemleri arasında tohum kaplama, toprağa sulama suyu ile birlikte uygulama, biyolojik gübre formülasyonları ve yapraktan uygulamalar yer almaktadır. Organik materyaller, biyofumigasyon uygulamaları ve azaltılmış doz kimyasal nematisitlerle entegrasyon, etkinliği artırmakta ve entegre zararlı yönetimi (IPM) kapsamında sürdürülebilir çözümler sunmaktadır. Sonuç olarak, Bacillus türleri; doğrudan nematisit etkileri, bitki büyümesini teşvik edici özellikleri ve toprak sağlığını iyileştirici rolleri sayesinde kimyasal nematisitlere güçlü ve çevre dostu bir alternatif oluşturmaktadır. Genomik ve biyoteknolojik gelişmelerle birlikte, daha özgül ve etkili ırkların geliştirilmesi, gelecekte sürdürülebilir nematod yönetim stratejilerinin temelini oluşturacaktır.
