Ayrılık Kaygısı
Özet
Ayrılık kaygısı, çocukluk döneminde en sık gözlenen duygusal yaşantılardan biri olmakla birlikte, yalnızca klinik belirtiler üzerinden açıklanabilecek bir olgu değildir. Güncel gelişimsel yaklaşımlar, ayrılık kaygısını çocuğun güvenlik gereksinimi ile çevreyi bağımsız biçimde keşfetme eğilimi arasındaki dengeyi düzenleyen uyum sağlayıcı bir sistem olarak ele almaktadır. Bu bölümde ayrılık kaygısı, gelişimsel psikopatoloji perspektifi doğrultusunda kuramsal temelleri, gelişimsel özellikleri, etiyolojik süreçleri, klinik değerlendirilmesi ve müdahale ilkeleri çerçevesinde bütüncül bir yaklaşımla incelenmiştir. İlk olarak ayrılık kaygısının evrimsel temelleri, bağlanma kuramı ve gelişimsel psikopatoloji yaklaşımı ışığında gelişimsel işlevi açıklanmıştır. Ardından biyolojik yatkınlıklar, mizaç özellikleri, ebeveynlik davranışları, aile süreçleri, sosyal çevre ve yaşam olaylarının ayrılık kaygısının gelişimsel seyrini nasıl biçimlendirdiği güncel ampirik bulgular doğrultusunda değerlendirilmiştir. Bölümün klinik kısmında, gelişimsel açıdan beklenen ayrılık tepkileri ile klinik düzeyde ayrılık kaygısının ayırt edilmesinde kullanılan ölçütler, çoklu bilgi kaynaklarına dayalı değerlendirme süreci, ayırıcı tanı ve eşlik eden ruhsal bozukluklar ele alınmıştır. Son olarak gelişimsel değerlendirme sonuçlarının bireyselleştirilmiş müdahale planlarına nasıl yansıtılması gerektiği tartışılmış; aile, okul ve sosyal çevrenin müdahale sürecindeki rolü gelişimsel bir bakış açısıyla açıklanmıştır. Bölüm genelinde ayrılık kaygısının durağan bir belirti ya da tanı kategorisinden çok, biyolojik, ilişkisel ve çevresel süreçlerin karşılıklı etkileşimiyle biçimlenen dinamik bir gelişimsel süreç olduğu vurgulanmaktadır.
